  • Sea Captain

I’m a member of a knife forum, and we do an exchange of parts and “pos” knives every year. I often don’t have a lot of knives so I try to look through my recipients post and make something for them to send when I complete it. My uh this year was “Steamboat Willie” and he volunteers at a maritime museum so I made him this. Next up is a gift for the guy who drew my name(not the same person I sent stuff to), and sent me a bunch of stuff. He’s a golf fan so I have a different project in mind.

The site is a great group of guys. They have a for sale section where members can list their in their own “onine store” through the site, and they do a member give away every month too. It’s fun to see what you will get. This is what I got this year. The member who sent me these is going to get a golfer carving sent to him when I finish it.

Nice work on the steamboat captain!

The Kamp King (5th down in left column) is just like the one my dad gave me when I was around 6 years old. We lived on a farm, and all boys on farms had a knife at a fairly young age.
