Due to health reasons I've already had to alter my diet two or three times over my life span so changing something another time is no big deal.
My wife lay down on a bed and the therapist had her twist her head from side to side and some other motions I didn't follow. PT for vertigo didn't seem a cure, but it amazingly worked. She said she had 2-3 people a week come in with it and we are in a town of 5,000. This was over a year ago and the wife is still fine. She might get an episode and does the exercises the PT recommended, then all is well. Something about crystals forming in the ear.

I never saw any PT work this well.

    Good luck, Eddy.

Nice carving, Eddy! Sorry to hear about the vertigo. I don't have that, but because of my shattered ankle in 2003, the surgery to put it back together cut a nerve or two, so I can't balance on the left foot at all. I close my eyes and I fall over.

I like your carving, Eddy. I don't have any problem with vertigo, but I do have my own issues with getting older. As a result, I feel a great deal of solidarity with people of my age (or older).

One of the great things about my carving club is the frank exchange of medical and health information. If you're having a problem, and you ask around, you often find an answer that is helpful.

This thread reminds me of that kind of sharing. Get better soon, Eddy.

I don’t get vertigo, but I do get sinus infections with the symptoms you’ve mentioned. I have gotten some relief using nasal irrigation, or “netti pot.” Basically, rinsing the sinuses with warm water that has a mix of sea salt and baking soda in it. Afterwards, I’ll make a hot tea and hold the tea in my mouth to help things warm up and relax more.
Another thing that I’ve tried recently is massaging behind my ears, in front of my ears, the back of my neck and down the sides of my neck, and gently pumping just above the collar bone at the base of your neck. The idea is to push, or pump fluid down away from your head from your eustachian tubes and lymph nodes. It only takes a few minutes, and I repeat several times. It helps drain my sinuses and eustachian tubes and relieve the headaches and dizziness. There’s a video on YouTube where a lady explains/demonstrates this technique.
Praying for relief for you Eddy…
                Thanks TJ! Every suggestion helps!

I hear you Rodster. I haven't been able to get to any of my club meeting in a number of years. Transportation is a real problem and compounded now with this vertigo which eliminates driving completely. The other problem has been that I don't have the energy to sit and carve for 3-4 hours at a time so even if I could beg a ride I'd have to wait on a friend before I could leave and go home. Not complaining mind you. Just a fact of life.

Sounds silmilar to the ONDANSETRON the Doc put me on. You're right. It works best if you can take it early enough. I had bad trip at the VA yesterday. I just made it outside the lab before all hell broke loose. I need to be more mindful of the symptoms before it gets too far along.
