  • I just had to do another one.

After sending off my first El Diablo carving to my sister for her jalapeno jelly business, I just had to do another one, since I really liked this tutorial by Lynn. This one went much faster and I'm pretty pleased with the outcome.

About 14 inches tall, out of basswood, painted with acrylics, and finished with Deft satin finish.
I added a pic of the first one for comparison.

Thanks for taking a look, Tom
If I took the time to fix all my mistakes, I wouldn,t have time to make new ones.

Very nice, even better than the first in my opinion. I like the green shirt on this one. I see he is just as messy as the other fella spilling his sauce.

Steve, He was still caught by surprise at how hot that chile was.

        Thanks guys, Tom

          Hey Tom,
Looks great! Fantastic job on the detail, carving and painting, fun to look at. By the looks of his eyes I think he's had a tad too much tequila or that sauce is hotter than..........................

Another great carving/painting Tom. It looks like that bowl of chili might be even hotter than the first batch..........

Hi Tom, Great Carving, he looks just like the other one, which is hard for me to make 2 look alike. Well done. Merle

Thanks everyone for taking a look, I appreciate the input. I wonder if I sprinkled some of that on the driveway, it would melt the snow?
