This is a Phil Bishop rough out I added a little scene too. Learned a lot in that process. I think it is called December 26th.

Very, very nice. I really like the walls on the base, adds a lot. Maybe add a puddle of coffee on the floor underneath the cup? Good job on the carving also.

I like the puddle of coffee idea! It seems like once you start it's hard to stop adding those little details.

Good carving, but the scene really caught my eye. The wall works as a backdrop. Can you use it for other Santa carvings?

I suppose the idea would work for other pieces. I couldn't think of any other way to use this Santa in a scene.

Great likeness of the old fellar. I agree with Slowmover; a "coffee puddle" would be a great touch.
