                  I think your scene came together nicely. It's often difficult to not over or under do a scene, but I think you achieved a great balance. Terrific piece of art.

                      If you felt inclined to share how you made that wall and floor, I for one would be an avid reader of that post and would really appreciate it. It is so typical of the Bishops work and looks so wonderful...again my congrats.

                            I used inch thick basswood for the walls & base because I already had it. Thinner would have worked. I drew in the base board & just relief cut to it. I cut out the window & then glued in a 1/2" thick piece for the "glass" with a thin piece to form the sill. In hindsight I would carve down the window instead because it doesn't look that great on the back but it will work. Mostly just some paint & shading. I have always liked exposed brick in carvings so I added that. It was fun once I got started.
