  • W.W.I.I. solider

I carved this soldier from one of Steve Brown's fine roughouts. I carved him in my own way and did not do the original justice. This is the fourth face I put on him. I would try one and not get what I was after so I would cut it off and try another. Although the face was not what I originally had in mind I found one that I liked. All comments are welcome

If I took the time to fix all my mistakes, I wouldn,t have time to make new ones.

Thank you for looking Papa, Terry, Tom and Claude. I was never completely satisfied with the shovel in his hand but could not come up with anything better. The "t" handle shovel should have finished in overall O.D. but I used a little artistic license to make things stand out.

Dan, First, An excellent job. Second, I know how you feel about not carving the head that you wanted to. I must have a dozen heads laying around here that didn't work. But it was and is good practice. I keep telling myself. Anyway you did a magnificent job. Ginny
