  • AAAARRRRRG Got my Pirates done

    One is Blackbeard, and the other is Redbeard. Daaaaa.

    Fun little carve, and goes real quick. I love the way he did his pattern, to lay over your block. I have never seen one done like that.

    Nice job on carving both of them. I think I like Red Beard a little better. (the eye patch)

                        Tom et al, how did you split the 1-1/2 x 1-1/2 blank into two?

                        Hand saw, table saw, band saw, scroll saw, other?

                            Steve, I cut them on a bandsaw, cut a 90 degree notch out of a 2\" piece of scrap. Two 45 degree angles meeting in the middle, and then laid the block in there to split it in half.

                            Darn it Joe, now I have to carve another one.
