Re: Cypress knee fisherman
Bruce, I carve a large one, and i will tell you it was a wrestling match. I fill some of the bank deposit banks with black eyed peas to hold it steady and elevated FYI . . .JoeB

Re: Cypress knee fisherman
e Thanks everyone for your comments, cypress knees are a bit hard to come by in Nova Scotia, but when you can find them ,they are fun to carve, one has to hold them in his hands for several days trying to find the path you want you knife to take.I am hoping to get a 4 footer for another project,

Good job, I would bet you did get your knee locally or say carving in found wood. Aw beat me, could resist. Kind of like carving basswood, but different. again Good Job. . .JoeB

Re: Cypress knee fisherman
What a great idea! I\'ve never carved a cypress knee but it looks like it would be fun. You did a great job and I love that it is a new concept.

Cypress knee fisherman
I just finished this cypress knee fisherman,he holds an octopus in his right hand and a nice fish in left hand, he stands 13 inches tall, painted in acrylics and sealed with a gloss water based varnished. He is a bit different caricature then catvinga Santa in a cypress knee
