  • Phil's Phirst Phantastic Phairy House

Phil. is a friend and neighbour, who never carved until I introduced him to Cottonwood bark a couple of months ago. Now there's no stopping him, after 20 or so very artistic gnome homes he came up with the design shown in the attachments and I felt that it deserved to be shared with all our friends here on the forum. First is a picture of Phil working on the new building while at our little carving group meeting, followed by pictures of the finished carving.I hope that this post encourages him to become a member of our forum. Hope you enjoy his work, I know I do.
    Regards
    John

John, tell Phil he belongs here. Tell him we need him. Be sure he knows he can join and just lurk until he's comfortable. Thanks for showcasing his carvings.

I agree with Bob K, Phil has Phound his calling. My wife is drooling on my shoulder wondering when I'm going to provide an addition to her gnome garden outside.

That is some very nice detail Phil has carved. And also some very thick bark. Thanks for posting this John.

If I took the time to fix all my mistakes, I wouldn,t have time to make new ones.

I have to wonder, just what did Phil do before he tried carving. He has an amazing gift to just jump in and go. I also think it is a great medium to start a carver in. Way to go John. That is one heck of a piece of bark, is it a composite of more that one piece?
