Crisp detail = not a 'fuzzy' in sight. All the right details.
I agree with the concept to carve it wet/green. That has to alleviate a lot of drying stress.
Back in my ignorant beginning days, I got maybe 2 dozen 6" x 24" alder logs, fresh out of a bit of forestry work. Stacked them in the shop at home. Several months later, hundreds of cracks and big splits, end to end. No good for much but smoking fish and clams.Brian T
