Heinecke, as mentioned by Joe above, does sell the 1.25 X 1.25 stock in various lengths...plus it is great basswood. You can also get the same dimensioned basswood and butternut from http://www.loesshillssawmill.com/ BUT you have to tell him directly that you want the real dimensions or you will get stuff that is close but not exact.

Heinecke is the most popular and I use them and Loessawmill.

Joe is referring to their practice sticks. I have frequently bought 1-1/4" stock from them. Yes, it comes as a 12" x 15" plaque, but it could be easily ripped into 1-1/4" square sticks.

1 1/4" square stock -- any sources for this?

    Hello All,
I am looking to replenish my carving stock supply and was wondering if anyone had a source they could recommend for 1 1/4" basswood they could recommend?
I have been doing some pieces with this size and can't remember where I had gotten it previously.

    Thank you
    Chris
