Hello all. I am new to this site as well as new to Tennessee. I moved here from florida where i had been carving tikis. I am in N.E Tennessee and was wondering if any one knows where i can get some good size logs or stumps for carving. Thanks a bunch!

I move to a new area every few years, what I find the best way to get logs is contact some professional removal crews slip them a little cash and show up with your trailer and they will load you up. If you are carving smaller logs just your pickup will do. As stated the city dump for yard debris can be a good place as well. I am not worried too much about metal just block out with an old chain you will hit nails and fence wire for sure. Have a regular old carpenters chisel and vise grips to remove the metal.
