Chief Kuminatcha

Made this piece Saturday. He's about 2' tall, made from cedar half-log (so he can be wall mounted). His face had some insect damage and I almost tossed him, but then decided to rebuild part of his nose and upper lip with epoxy and paint the face. Since I'm colorblind but ADD, the face needs some color adjustment. My wife is always amazed that I'll paint without adult supervision. Then she mixes up the right color and it gets better.
Mostly chainsaw, rotary tools used on face. finished by burning and coating with spar varnish. He looks a little PO'd and about to strike, hence the name Chief Kuminatcha.

I like this guy.. he's a bit intimidating, but he looks like he's about to say something full of deep wisdom. I like the way you have his eyes.. they speak volumes.
