Some great comments from Eddie-Smiles, Scotia Carver, Uvawyo, TBox61, Nikian, JoeVM, Randy, Claude and JoePaulButler. I read them all with interest.

I recall they were quick witted and energetic. The folks at home, for the most part, enjoyed the diversion. Here was part of their program.
    • Promote higher education by building taller schools.
    • Repeal the law of 'gravity'.
    • Put the National Debt on a credit card.
They attracted a few votes from people who had a sense of humor, or were just fed up. The RPs argued that "no matter how you voted, the government got elected." Well, the voters below are leaning Rhinoceros this time. Farmer John is their guy.

Rodster.... It sounds like you've already jumped the gun on today's "pot vote!" What kind of good stuff have you been smokin' anyway! Love the story and the carvings! Just to let you know, I'm going to post your "three platform ideas" on my Facebook Timeline! They apply to your southern neighbors just as much if not more than to your own.

Rod...GREAT JOB on separating the legs on Mr. Farmer!

What a great looking group of voters! Down here in the lower 48, we have our own version of RINO's, but that is all I am going to say about that subject!

    Keep the carvings coming!

I was thinking about you and Scotia Carver when I penned the above Rhinoceros story. Both of you seem to have a sense of humor and were likely to remember the RP. Another promise was to pave the Bay of Fundy to provide parking in the Maritimes. I lived in Spadina riding at the time, and the RP song in the riding was, "Nothing could be finer than a Rhino in Spadina in the morning." Bring back the fun in politics, I say.
