    That's something I feel that everyone should do..... keep a sample of your work as you progress. I've been carving for 12 years now and have saved one Santa ornament each year since I began. It's interesting to see how one improves/evolves over time.

    I recently re-carved a character I did when I first started learning how to carve. The first one is definetely more flat plane in style. The second one is my style now, which is somewhere between flat plane and caricature.
    Its interesting to me to compare old work to new to see how I've changed
