    Muddy Dog, I think the Rodster is looking at the section for FLAT PLANE carving? And yes most post in the Caricature Carving section???

    I posted a picture just recently, only it was in Caricature Carving. I maybe wrong, but I consider my style as Flat Plane Caricature.

    No one has posted to the 'Flat Plane' carving forum since Mar 9, 2021. During this same time, approx. 50 - 60 carvings were posted to the 'Caricature' Forum. Some of those 'caricature carvings' might well be considered 'flat plane' carvings.

    I hoped to amuse readers by writing a little ditty to draw attention to this.

    Actually Rodster, if you check around I do think you will find quite a few do flat plane carving. I don't use that area of carving except when doing small gifts for kids around for fast workings. NOT that I have any thing against that work, most is pretty darn neat, just never got into the swing of it.

    Why is it that no one posts pics to this forum?
    Is flat plane perceived as lacking decorum?

    Are we who carve our guys with a blade,
    required to retrain, and hopefully upgrade?

    Or is there a place where we'll all feel at ease,
    to show all our carvings whenever we please.
