  • My Refsal family

These are all the little folks I have carved during classes this year. Students love doing these.

You have a neat group there. I can see why the students would like doing them.

Great job, Tom. I didn\'t realise the mounty was a Refsal design. Looks like you have been busy.

Kris, the mountie is the first one I did. The second and third from the left, are the same , but moved the hands out front to hold the sign. The #12 is the same as the one with the brown hat to his right. Just carved the hat to be a deflated football.

Thanks everyone for the comments, Tom

That\'s a heckuva nice family Tom, even if they do appear to be a bit wooden.

Tom what kind of knife did you use to carve them?

                        Re: My Refsal family

Rondp. I carved them with a 1 1/2\" personna knife that I made. And sometimes with a buck smidgen that I installed in a wooden handle. It has an upswept blade. The Personna is a straight edge.

They are mostly about 5 to 6\". The Troll was a little taller.

For some reason I thought they were smaller. So are they made out of 2x2?
