Doug Outside

Came across a series of tutorials on Utube that are IMHO pretty good. I don't ever remember mention of this carver on this forum.
Do a search in youtube for "Doug Outside" and enjoy.

He does indeed do a good job. He credits Arlene and Gene as teachers. I liked the bear and hillbilly videos in particular.

His carvings are very similar to Mike Shipley's...he is interesting.

I've been following Doug Outside for 3 or 4 months now. Holli at Helvi Knives has mentioned him once or twice. Doug's got a real easy laid back way about things and I've found his video's whether he's carving or fishing, make for a good carving companion. Look for his "carving and Coffee" videos's.

Just watched snowman video. His camera is close up to see what he is doing. He explains cuts and demonstrates them very well. Look forward to others.

I've watched him for a while and subscribe to his Youtube channel. He has very interesting videos with a very down to earth style. Well worth a check.

Doug has been on my list for some time. I like some of the take a hike with his coffee pot and carves up the wood for the file and hacks out of a limb something to carve. He is on my list.
