I agree with all of the others, and especially with what Mike says..... maybe paint a light blue iris, with black pupil and a small white highlight dot in the 11 o'clock position.

Those look good, nice details on hat and beard. The small black dots make the eyes look a little beady? You might fix that just by making the pupils bigger, with a portion covered by the eyelids. Very well done!
