I started out in Oregon ,and just moved to Eastern WA, in September of 2020. Now settled down, and loving it. Connell, WA. Pop 5300..
And now it is too quite to worry?. And not one other carver around that I know of.

Ga coast until we aren't. East TN mountains when the weather warms. There is a carving club in Blue Ridge, Ga near the mountain place, but COVID... Mountain place is fairly near John C Campbell Folk School. My plans to take a class there did not pan out last year either.

I had heard about that school , would love to a few classes there too.. Love your side of the hills though.

Probably lived in British Columbia longer than anywhere else. I don't seem to have a "from" place.
This village of 650 is where I've hung my hat for 20 years now. My house is at the north end of the village, to the right in the picture.

South Western Nova Scotia, Canada. I can stand on my back deck and throw a rock into the Atlantic Ocean. No organized carving clubs anywhere near me ( heck I'm so far out in the boonies there's hardly anything near me ).

Now retired in S.CA about 10 miles east of Laguna Beach. It's nice here but I lived most of my life in Minnesota and would move back in a heart beat, but I'm married, if you know what I mean.

Oh boy... Well. I'm a bit of an outsider. Middle of the Atlantic, Azores Islands, Terceira Island to be more specific. But i got to know WCI when i lived in the Tobermory, Isle of Mull, West Coast of Scotland (11 awesome years).

Well, in general, don't post your telephone number or email address (spammers will pick it up) or street address; if you need to send either to someone, use a Private Message. Other than that, we do occasionally have youth members on here, so keep it clean and family-friendly. When in doubt, ask a Moderator - that's what we are here for...

I grew up here in mainland USA....and left in 1986 for Hawaii and planted my feet59e1e42b3508951c6e625d7e6e439ec6.jpg. The year I left was January with a whole month of -21 F. My brother and I were talking about the black ice and how we both had sports cars....with the V8 engines, hitting that ice and ice skating. He wrecked his GTO going 95 miles an hour with my cousin in the car on that black ice. Me and my Cameros...it scared the crap out of me sliding down the hills backwards. Those were the days.
