Mahogany with an Eye Insert of Yellow Pine for Contrast . 8"x1 1/4 ". Finish is Poly U and a lite coat of Wax. That brought out the Beautiful Grain and Color. The reason for the Eye of Yellow Pine is I Screwed up the original piece of Mahogany and the Yellow Pine Piece was Handy, I think that was a Good Idea . Merle
