Cottonwood Bark, overall the piece is 18" tall, carving is about 8" tall by 3.5" wide, painted with wash coats of acrylics. One coat spray lacquer and one coat Watco darl wax.

Nicely done John. Definitely see strong NA features in that face. Your treatment of the grain really makes him stand out.
