Greenman

[Irishman]

Here is a version of one of Chris Pye's Greenman. If you are familiar with the carving you will see where I modified the eyes and mouth. The wood is basswood with a few layers of oil.

Patrick, Im familiar with Chris Pye's Greenman I have one wall with 7 or 8 Greenman. I like what you done to your carving, Really an intense look now--- like, "don't tread in my forests . I'm a sucker for the oil finish, well done. . .JoeB

Wow that is one great carving. I'm waiting for the axe to come flying at me. Great grain use. Didn't know basswood had such great grain.

Thank you everyone for taking a look at this piece. I actually did a little video clip and posted it to Utube if anyone wants to see it. I had just finished cleaning it up and started to add the oil as you will see in the video.
