  • A story to be told

I recently needed to buy a new blade for my bandsaw and contacted a firm that I had not used before. During the phone call I was asked how many TPI was the blade and had to say that I had dumped the old blade without checking, I then explained that the saw was used mainly to cut the blanks for comfort birds which I make for a hospital in Melbourne, the girl I was speaking with relayed the info. to her boss who in turn suggested a number of teeth that sounded about right and I ordered the blade. When I arrived next day to collect the blade I was amazed when I was handed 2 blades and informed that \"because I was using the saw to make things for a charitable purpose, there was no charge and my money was no good in their store!\" To say that I was blown away would be a major understatement, but how great to find that there are still some really nice people out there. Anyway, as a thankyou, I carved the attached ugly saw sharpener in the hope that it gives them laugh and may become a talking point.
Thanks for looking...........Any and all comments appreciated...
    Regards
    John

Thankyou everyone for your nice words about my ugly Saw Sharpener, I am pleased to say that I took him to his new home today and the folk were very happy with him, the owner insisted that there was a very strong resemblance to his absent brother...lol.... snaps were taken and I enjoyed my visit with these quite special people....Again, thanks to all.
