  • Let's see your "Creme de la Creme" of Christmas Carvings!

OK, I've just been informed by my better half that I should carve about a dozen pieces for family that will be joining us for Christmas...so I'm jammed up from the getgo. In mulling over my quandary, I thought, "Hmmm...why not kill two birds (it's currently turkey-time, after all) with one stone: See the gang's best holiday efforts and get some ideas for my own project? So I propose that all who would like to, post a picture of what they consider their "best" Christmas carving(s) from this year or years past. Should be fun to follow, and may get my fanny out of a crack if I can pick up an idea or two, as I've never carved holiday themes before. Who'll be the first to post?

Tree ornaments are always fun to carve and family members love receiving them. Here are three I carved for this year.

Here are three of the ones I did that I like best. The first was a roughout from the RWR in Tennessee, The second and third are original.

Steve, I like your guy, too! I'd vote him as "Crème" without hesitation.

Di, you certainly have a flair for combining talented carving with non-conventional design...well done!

What do you mean non conventional design....smile.... just curious the meaning you are talking about. thanks for comment.....I been doing art work since I was child, ...it is hard to look at my own work as anything more then a rather insane drive to see what is next?
