  • Ornament Exchange 2018

Yes, you read that right, LOL! I have been asked about the ornament exchange for this coming Christmas.. After conferring with our past fearless leader, I'll be ramrodding the exchange again, this year. Evidently there were some who missed out last year, and want in on the fun! So, put your thinking caps on and figure out what you might like to carve for the Great 2018 Ornament Exchange! If you participated in the past, you know how much fun it is to see what's in the mail box!
Ok, ok, I know it's ridiculously early, but if you're interested...... I'll be compiling the list later this year, but if you want to go ahead and send me a PM here with your info, that would be fine. Last year we had 9 participants, let's try to get more this year. You can also let me know how many you would be willing to carve.
    Have fun folks!!

Count me in. I'll have to ponder what to deliver. So much to carve and so little time to cut.

I'm in, no matter how many, with the caveat that I may have to back out if life throws me a curve.

Hi folks! If you've been wondering, no I didn't fall off the earth, we had a flood in our basement 2 days before my shoulder surgery. BUMMER! However, rehab is going well, so be thinking about the ornament exchange. We have some folks that missed out last year and want to get in on it. To review: PM me your real name and address if you want to participate. You will provide a number of carvings for the exchange, based on the number of participants. Last year I think we had 8, would love to have more this year. I'll send out a list to each participant, with the names and addresses for you to send your ornaments. Make them all the same, or make different ones, it's up to you! I can start collecting names anytime, but plan on no later than 1 October. This should provide plenty of time to make the chips fly. If not, let me know. I realize it's a little early, but last year we got started late. Have a great summer!

Do the ornaments have to be carved? Can they be wood burned?

Hey folks, had a couple more decide to join in the fun! If you've never done this before, you should give it a try. We have received some amazing ornaments over the years. There's still time to sign up, so let me know by PM if you'd like to join up. You'll receive a list of addresses and names, and you'll send an ornament to each person on the list. You'll also receive a like number of ornaments in return. It's fun to see what everyone comes up with!
