  • Finally got the Desire to finish this Guy

IMG_0004.JPGIMG_0008.JPGIMG_0006.JPG Had a lot of Help on getting the Desire to finish this Guy . Sappy said , if you don't like the way it is turning out start over and that is what I did . I was carving on the Flat and that was outside my Box so I started over and carved him on the Corner . I started making Chips again and this is the way he turned out . He now has a Place on the Shelf with the other Christmas Decorations . Now I must find something else to do . Merle

Turned out great Merle!.... that should put you on Santa's "Nice" list..
when I have a carving that isn't going to my satisfaction, I have a wood burning stove in my basement that takes care of the problem....

Good job figuring out how to carve him your own style. A great addition to any Christmas carvings you are displaying.

Hi Wayne , you probably Burned a lot of potential Masterpieces . I have an Eagle that I started about 6 or 7 yrs. ago that I just can't seem to get back to and finish , just don't look right , but won't burn him , probably go as my unfinished work . Ha,Ha. Thanks for your Encouraging Words . Merle

Nice job Merle. Like the little wisp of bangs poking out of the hat. Should be a keeper for a number of years.
