  • A few carvings for Christmas

Attached are a few of the wood carvings that I made for Christmas this year. For the angel, I used a picture of a German Dresden ornament which were made from embossed paper. The dove was carved from basswood, I burned in the hints of feather detail, and then coated is with several washes of thinned acrylic paint. The santa is about 12 inches tall and was carved from basswood and then painted with acrylic artist paints as was the angel. They have a much higher pigment content and should resist fading.

    Merry Christmas,

    Tim
