    Beautiful wood. I think I would make the figures even more styalized if I ever do a nativity...that many figures with full detail is a really big job. Of course, you have a great heirloom when you are done, so it is worth it I am sure.

    He is up to the standards set by the other pieces. Nice job on the hook. The color goes well with the butternut.

    Finally got back to working on the Nativity. This is the first of two shepherds, carved from butternut like the other pieces and sealed with Deft Satin. He stands 5 1/2" tall. More pics on my blog.
