Thanks Joe, I wonder how she is doing. She was becoming a very good carver.

Di, Thanks for the nice comment. Pretty simple compared to your works of art.

Thanks Kaddidle, I should blow it for my wife to come clean up my mess. Hardy Ho Ho. I better not.

I didn't Tinwood, I was just thinking it. Wondering if it would actually work.

          Thanks Claude.

Very nice work. I've only just discovered that butternut is actually known as white walnut. Interesting. I've read that this is one of the nicest woods to carve.
But ive gotta ask: what is cutting board oil?

Great Bob, I hope she does. It was fun to see her abilities progress so fast.

Spiritwolfe, the label just says that the ingredients are made from pure white mineral oil. Seals and restores. Food safe. Goddards brand.

The butternut carved really nice, and it really has a nice grain that darkens up when you put the oil on.

                Hope this helps. Tom

Cutting board oil is great for wooden cooking utensils, too. Just don't use it on a wooden kitchen table.

Yeah Michelle, it also says not to use it on wooden floors.
