  • Birds of Every Feather Flock Together

Good Morning! Working on a set of Measuring spoons for an upcoming event and I'm out to carve their perch this morning. While measuring spoons are old hat for me, the birds are new. I am trying my hand at them and each one is better than the next! They are Maple. TBSP, tsp. and 1/2 tsp. My mom said "you should make a 1/4 tsp..." I said "you should just use 1/2 of that one "

I'm guilty of laying the measuring spoons on the counter.
Next, shake the jars to make the piles of about the needed sizes.
      Put the spoons away.

I am notorious for leaving them out in the shop! But I can tell you - sawdust measures just like flour!

That's pretty darn cute. So the birds are the handles. Very nice.

Nice work. I'm curious how you get the correct measurements. Do you just carve and test, carve and test?
