  • My first Dragon..

Been wanting to give one a go for the longest time so here's my progress sofar. I picked this dragon for it's simplicity when compared many others.

Thanks all for the positive comments. Yep, I'm happy with the progress plus my Grandson thinks it's "really cool".

FWIW: The wood is easy carving Poplar, not as pretty as others but much easier carving.

                  Take care.

Finally finished the little rascal. Stained it reddish brown after a sealer coat of dewaxed shellac. Then painted the background a light brown with just a touch of red mixed in and a final coat of BLO.
