Beautiful work Merle, kind of a trick on the eyes, the way the flag folds back under itself. They just keep getting better, and better................Tom
If I took the time to fix all my mistakes, I wouldn,t have time to make new ones.

Great carving and composition. Easy to tell where your heart is!
Before they slip me over the standing part of the fore sheet, let them pipe: "Up Spirits" one more time.

Merle - Your latest carving is outstanding! It includes several challenging elements - folds, lettering, the eagle head, painting - as well as combining these elements in a way which captures the viewer's attention. It sets a high standard for other carvers to aspire to. You must feel good about this project!

Hi Terry, the Plaque was a Rough Cut piece of Walnut over 100 yrs. Old, well cured , it was the other end of the Rotted Plaques that I used for the Ducks . Now to get the Approval from my Barber and then on the Wall, Thank You for your Encouraging Comments. Merle
