  • Hms artemis

I completed this relief carving of HMS ARTEMIS, the cover from Julian Stockwin's book of the same name, original painting by Geoff Hunt. It is carved in Basswood, and measures 18' X 12" X 1".

This is a fine piece of work. Did you burn or is it staining?

Burning, several different tips, and heats. Brings out the detail so much better.

Gale force winds here last night, 85kmh, but not near as bad as Cape Breton, who endured 180 kmh gusts. Bad night for a sailor at sea.
