  • Mule for my Barber

My Barber asked me to do a Stick with a Mule on it. He is 6" x4" x 2" , Basswood on Diamond Willow Stick. The Stick has 14 Diamonds on it and is on the Heavy side. I have a lot of wood to remove so that will lighten it some. I mounted it differently than I usually do. I mounted it on the Side as if it were a Plaque . Now I just need to blend it to the Stick. Don't do Animals that well but I give it a try. Again a Fun Piece. Merle

The head looks great. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with the stick and blending them together.

Hi Wayne, he has a lot of my Sticks , we are about even Money wise. What he Pays me for my Sticks I Pay him back for Haircuts. Sounds like the 2 Farmers that kept selling and Buying a Horse to each other. Ha,Ha. Thank You for your Kind Words. Merle

Hi Tinwood, That's a good question. They are 1/2 " x1/2" x 1.1/2" and didn't think it would be necessary , but if an Ear breaks off I'm sure I will get it back and then I"ll Pin it. You remembered from my carving of the Man with a Big Nose and I put a Dowel in his Mustache , good Memory . Thank You for showing interest. Merle
