I am not sure if I am finished painting this fellow or not. He is from a Santa rough out that Harold Goodman (Goody) sent me a few years ago. The wood is pine, 101/2 inches tall, the paints are oils. I am polishing him with a paper bag. He is my secret (from the Deer Creek boys) project to enter in Deer Creek Days art show.

    Hi Herb
I would say from where i sit he looks like a winner, he looks a bit like a carved cypress knee, well done

Good job Herb!..... it's going to take a pretty good carving to beat that one.
you mentioned Goodie , I remember when he was very active on this forum (about the time you and I joined) is he still carving and a member of this forum? I haven't seen any posts by him since the " big hack".

Looks like a sure winner just the way it is...I wouldn't do anything more to it.
