        Beautiful work! I'm envious. I built a muzzle loader pistol from a kit many decades ago, nothing fancy, but it looked great...I don't recall if we ever fired it or not. Gave it to one of my sons years age.

        On the subject of the rifles, the Confederate Museum in New Orleans recently recovered through the FBI a Kentucky longrifle, Brown Bess style, that was stolen in the 1970s. It is the only documented longrifle used in defense of the city in the Battle of New Orleans in the War of 1812. Just thought some might be interested in that tidbit of information!
