Was waiting in the doctors office while my wife was seeing him and made some chips fly on a small piece of Basswood that I brought along for something to do. I had seen some really nice images on Pinterest, the picture site, of Western Art of the South West USA, so they inspired this guy. I finished him up the next day when we returned home and I painted him on the third day. I enjoy doing interesting faces, and this guy seemed to have plenty of character, and by the lines on his face, plenty of stories to tell.

Before they slip me over the standing part of the fore sheet, let them pipe: "Up Spirits" one more time.

I'm certain someone's ex-mother-in-law bore a close resemblance to this fella (including the makeup). Very nice work Bob. Great character study.

Don't think I would want to run into him behind some sagebrush! Tremendous job on the carving and painting
