    Re: 2 honey bears

TN... Back about 20-years ago there use to be a nice little Irish Pub down on Corey Ave on St. Petersburg Beach. The bicycle club that I use to run with started and ended a lot of our rides at their door stop. Nothing like a pint of cold Irish Ale to top off a hot ride. I'm not sure if it's still there or not because when I started building my cabin up in Tennessee I gave up recreational bicycle riding. I still rode the bike back and forth to work for 20-years), in fact that's how we saved the money to pay for the cabin. Doesn't matter no how, the doctor says that I can't imbide anymore anyway! Way back in the late 60's there used to be a nice aquarium on the beach but they let it go down hill until they finally tore it down. Slowly but surely all the old buildings are being torn down and replaced with high-rise condo's. One of these days if when we get hit with a killer storm (notice I said when, not if) Pinellas County is going to have the largest concrete breakwater in the world!

        TN...

Sorry about the late reply but I was up in your neck of the woods or at least south of you a bit.

Yes, I know where Indian Rocks is. It's all changed since you were there. It used to be lined with small cottages and Mom and Pop motels and hotels but slowly but surely they have given way to condo's.

There use to be a neat Hawaiian bar and restuarant on Indian Rocks called the Tiki or Con-Tikli or something like that. It was actually a small complex on the inland water way side of the island that had stores, gift shops, a large bar and of course an asian restuarant. My wife and I would spend an entire evening walking around and enjoying all that it had to offer. Sadly, much like John Denver's Mulenburg County, the developers hauled it away...

The million dollar developers are here big time in the mtns and in W.NC also. I know its all about money for some but it sure tears up the beautifull areas.

          Thanks Ed.

            TN...

I know. Same thing down in Souteast Tennessee. In fact it sickens me to get the Sunday paper here at the house in Florida because there is always a full color flyer advertising property on Tellico Lake.

I've actually paraphased John Denver's song and I sing it to myself (the wife would kill me if I sang it out loud) everytime we pass new construction while up in the mountains. Just my way of silent protesting!

By the way... before I left you were having some medical challenges and frequenting the VA on a pretty regular basis.... everything going okay for you? I was thinking about you while I was gone and wondering if you were okay!
