For a change, I tried to do a more movement obvious piece. Traditional standing pieces are fine, but more movement just seems to be more interesting and more difficult, thus a challenge. This piece is carved in Basswood, and I haven't set him in a scene or base yet, that too will come. Trying to stretch the skills.

Bob, I thought this piece was looking good when you put it on messenger and it was not finished. This is far better than I expected. It is also a big step up form the busts you have done before.

I like to try and improve Paul, keep pushing the bar a little higher. Maybe some day I'll be able to call myself a wood carver!

What a bloody mess.... . Just a thought but I would make about three of them fighting for interest. The action is the hard part.... all that motion and direction. Good job!

You have been reading my mind Di, this is not intended to be a stand alone piece., but a fight scene, still have to work out the other combatants.
