  • Braced against the breeze.

This little guy, 6", is the result of a comment someone made regarding a previous piece I had done, where the seaman was holding on to his hat. The comment suggested a piece showing a seaman fighting against a stronger breeze. This is the result. Not the best photos, can't seem to get the lighting right. Poor old Captain struggles against the breeze as he crosses the quarterdeck. Been there, done that, have the wrinkles to prove it. LOL

Before they slip me over the standing part of the fore sheet, let them pipe: "Up Spirits" one more time.

I had my uncle's P coat and navy blues when I was a kid growing up, they were my duck hunting clothes. Never got cold, did have a couple of close calls when it was time to relieve myself

Nice work. Now you need to do the series: https://www.spc.noaa.gov/faq/tornado/beaufort.html (Okay, maybe just the odd or even numbers).

LOL, I remembering writing those numbers in the ships log while at sea, every watch. Great idea for a series though. Thanks,
