Hello, I am new to this site, I have been a member for a long time, but never visited. Sort of forgot about this site, Thank you Claude for pointing me back. Think I joined a long time ago with my scroll-sawing. I am new to carving. want to learn. I am having fun with it. I will post a photo of one of my carvings. I was trying to do a English rider. No photo of the front side ( she is really bad looking) I am now looking for a pattern for a Crow. I like the one Claude did. I just lost my Crow friend and still upset about it.

It's like putting on an old sweater that you had forgotten in the back of the closet. Welcome back

Carved a cowboy or something like one today, I really need a lot of work on the faces.

Faces are a pain in the rear end to learn, I found for me carving the same one over and over again helped me improved with each doing research and watching videos. It helps to just carve the face not to small in the beginning until you get the hang of it. But keep the learning fun and do not take anything serious..... It is a learning curve that we all have to take time to master.
