Re: Santa practice
hey Doug,
i went into target last week and right at the front door they had them 1+ 2+ 3+ reading glasses for a buck. i got 5 pairs thinking what could it hurt, they got some really purdy colors, fhusha, puesh, neon lime and tortis shell.. even some cat eyes...
got home and seen they had 3 rhinestones on each side at the henge, needless to say the rhinestones left - im not much for the bling,.
but its got to where if i can hold it i cant see it good unless i put it down and back off seeing my arms got too short....

Re: Santa practice
Send those glasses to me as I have studied them off and on for 30 minutes and still haven't found a signature.

Re: Santa practice
Thank you, Fred for the nice compliment. I am having a lot of fun carving the Santas.
By the way, my Klean Clay arrived this week. Hopefully, it will help me 'spread my wings' a little.

Re: Santa practice
Joy, it is good to see that you decided to venture on "your own" - and you did a great job. As most of the people here, I also had to go back to see your name.
Well done.
Fred

Re: Santa practice
Bonnie, thanks for the kind comments. I'm not sure I could tackle anything other than a face without a pattern. It might be fun to try sometime.
Claude, that's some challenge! I think you must be confusing me with one of these other Santa artists LOL I'm glad you like my little guys.
Susieq, isn't it funny how we can look so closely at something that we don't see it. I'm still curious if anyone has seen the name in the unpainted Santas. Everyone mentions the beards but not the mustaches.

Re: Santa practice
I missed the name in the carving the first time I looked! For heaven's sake, how clever!!! I never would have thought of it. Terrific!

Re: Santa practice
Great Santas, Joy! The way you put your name in is really neat. Now, for your next challenge, try to figure a way to put "Claude" into the beard for me.
Claude
