A Fat Little Bear

A fat little bear for a friend's 5-year-old grandson.

As seems to be my process now, Fat Bear began as an attempt at a penguin. After a couple of mishaps, I just sort of went freehand and this guy took shape.

Made out of a piece of poplar . . . and more practice woodburning fur. He's about 3" tall

Hey Joe . . . I hope he will be. Haven't sent it yet (still need to spray some poly). I also made this for his 7-year-old sister (couldn't have then getting in a scrap). She's big into Harry Potter . . . hence the owl.

Nice looking bear and sure it will be appreciated, Rontana. Always fun making things for the grandkids. Excellent recovery from a penguin "happy accident."

Owl also looks nice and sure the girl will be appreciative. BTW, I know nothing about Harry Potter...what is the symbology of an owl?
