The grass doesn't get to grow under your feet Ed. Just finished a major project and well into the next. That's dedication!! How long did it take you to get to this point? I admire your work it is always so well done. Look forward to developments.

    Cheers

        Glenn,

I’ve been carving coming up on five years in October. Going to a carving vise and full sized tools was a game changer for me.

Since I have a couple health issues that make me high risk for covid I’ve had some extra time this year to carve.

It’s started as a 6”x8”x9” Basswood glue up.

Good news is they don’t effect my daily living can still wade the river or hike to the high lakes. So all and all not much to complain about. I realized yesterday that at least a third of my time is spent measuring and marking where to cut.

I can relate to that. There is nothing like getting out and enjoying nature to reprogram the soul. I just love going bush. If yiou sit quietly the fantail birds will come real close to check you out. I just talk to them quietly and they will stay for quite a long time being inquisitive. They will often sit on my rifle barrel. Spending time with them makes my whole day. So like you say not much to complain about. Happy carving buddy. Hope to have an interesting piece finished in a couple of days that I got sidetracked into doing hehehehe. Need to do a practice piece on the new lathe before I turn the fancy stick blank I put together. Took ages to laminate all the bits so want to get it right.

Sometimes I need to take time and clean things up, so I can see where I am to see where I need to go.
