  • Niki's Angel

My daughter-in-law was diagnosed with breast cancer last week, they are waiting for the Brac Test to come by before proceeding further. But I'm not waiting, this is her Guardian Angel.

Basswood, Fruitwood Watco Danish oil, with some eclectic etching.

    As usual C&C welcome

Best wishes and good luck to her. Cancer of any kind is scary as hell and it's the little things that folks do for those who are diagnosed with it that help the most. When I first got my bladder cancer diagnosed my kids all came over with greeting cards and stuffed animals to cheer me up. My oldest daughter had a T-Shirt made that said "Mr. Cancer ain't getting me!" I still wear it to every follow-up exam, my good luck piece. I know that she'll really appreciate her angel.

Mark, Ron, Arthur, Merle, Eddy, Sappy, Thank you all for your good wishes, she seems to be handling quite well at this time, strong gal.

Herb, when I was in grade school I got good grades in everything but two things, conduct & you guessed it spelling, always a creative speller. When it was pointed out to me the air turned blue. The "L" was easy enough to convert to an "E" . I got some Quikwood and did some filling on the "E" and cut a leg into the bottom. I think it will pass muster now

Good save, Joe. We are thinking of Niki. She can whip this thing. Help her keep a good attitude.
