I change the name from "The Line Up[" to "Who Did It, not too hard to tell. 
It is on 9" x 12" x 1" Basswood
The background in one coat of the 14Teaspoon ofTannis mixed with 80ml water followed by the Iron Acetate. I developed a fondness for this as a background to my carvings.
They are painted with acrylic paints, after dried and buffed, a coat of 1/4" plug of Sienna oil with 40 MLS mineral spirits & 20 MLS BLO. after dries add Mod Podge Dimensional magic to each eyeball, after it sets, get a dressing of Feed-N-Wax.
Still got lots of work to develop my paint shading skills grrr
