Hi woodburner thanks for your input its very valuable to me as is anyone else's.

The face is about 8 x 12 inch and the whole piece is maybe 11 feet she is nude that is why i just show the face i think no nudes is a rule here not sure, though art is not possible without it.

To be honest it was supposed to be plain figure like cave paintings 100 000's of years old..That is why they say the quicker its done the less chance of it being modified from the original and often best idea.

Unique niche to me, Eric, and never though about carving along those lines, and got me to think about Petroglyphs and such. A large carving and far away from my little flat plane caricatures.

Hi, Eric. I'd suggest narrowing the temples just a bit as in the photo below (black lines exaggerated so you can see where I'm talking about). Do just a little, and see how it looks. Sorry about the size - it either is this size, or too small to see.

Hey Claude thanks for dropping in i really appreciate it!

Yes i will remove a bit i knew it was off but now you pointed it out ahaha its finally in final stages.

Im thinking boiled linseed oil for the body and dark stain for hair its going outside..

Is it ok to put marine spar varnish on top of boiled linseed oil?

I thought of burning it with torch and smooth it out leaving raised grain but not sure about the gray look.
