    "It's What--"
    4" x 6" x 1" basswood, will be getting a paint job tomorrow, then I'll be carving his buddy "Saw it too".

                Judging by the shadows cast by the nose & eyebrows you are achieving a significant depth of relief. How are you doing the lines? Pyrography, stain, or ?

                  Love the expressions Joe and each one is telling a story. He looks like he just saw his cable or taxs bill!

                        Merle, Thank You, Just taking more time, reviewing pictures that I take, and maybe a little less impatient

                        Phil, Thank You, the depth at the end of the nose is ±3/4" & the eyebrow is 1/4".Phil after I get my pattern on the wood, I use a "Mastercraft-Micro Pro w/ a 1/32" dental drill/bur to cut the pattern into the wood, this also burns the wood. but after I get through carving I outline the outside & proponent features with a "Colewood Detailer" I also take the picture from my carving bench which has two lights at the top and a light on either side of the bench
