What a great contrast you got here Merle, The flowing line of your eagle just looks like it is going to slide off the plaque. The color of your eagle is so brilliant

Hi Joe , I used BLO on the Back Board and that gave it a Nice Tone . I haven't used BLO in a long time . Went with the Dark Edge to give it a Frame look and Contrast . Again letting my Imagination run . Thank You my Friend. Merle

Haven't started yet. Customer is ordering a brass coupler to allow the carving to be unscrewed from the stick, so I have to wait for the coupler to get here. Then I can drill the holes in the block of wood, and begin carving.

Hi Claude , I made a Stick years ago with a Brass Coupler from Treeline for the same reason that you are going to do . It was the only Stick that I made that Failed . It Broke at the Connection . The Coupler didn't break , it broke thru the sides of the Stick . Keep that in mind and make the Stick Diameter as Big as possible and still look good . Looking forward in seeing the Finished Stick . Merle
